The statistics page of our website offers an in-depth analysis of ransomware globally. The data, collected from various criminal groups, is presented in an intuitive graphical format for easy understanding. Thanks to the integration with the Ransomwatch project , the data is updated every hour, thus guaranteeing maximum up-to-dateness of the information. However, it is important to point out that AptGetDefence refrains from reporting victim data. We firmly believe in respecting the privacy and image of victims and we oppose any attempt to exploit these situations for advertising purposes. Our priority is to provide accurate and timely information, while always maintaining a high level of ethics and respect.

Number of Victims per Criminal group

The pie chart provides a visual representation of the number of victims attributed to major ransomware groups. Each segment of the graph represents a different group, with the size of the segment proportional to the number of victims. This allows you to quickly identify the groups with the highest number of victims. For greater clarity, groups representing less than 2% of the total have been grouped into a category called "others". This makes the graph more readable, avoiding overlapping labels and allowing better focus on the most prevalent ransomware groups.

Number of Victims per month

The bar graph provides a visual representation of the total number of ransomware victims for each month. Each bar on the graph represents a specific month, with the height of the bar proportional to the total number of victims in that month. This type of chart is especially useful for viewing trends over time. For example, if the number of victims increases or decreases from one month to the next, these changes will be easily visible in the bar chart. Furthermore, by comparing the height of the bars, you can quickly identify the months with the highest number of victims. This can help identify any patterns or trends, such as an increase in fatalities during certain times of the year.
